US SEEK 'ALL LAWFUL' AI ACCESS FOR MILITARY, ANTHROPIC REFUSES.


The Pentagon is pressuring AI companies to permit US military use of their models for "all lawful purposes,"  Anxios reported, with Anthropic resisting and risking $200 million contract. OpenAI, Google, and AI received similar demands, and one has agreed, according to a trump administration official. Dispute center on autonomous weapons and surveillance limits, while Anthropic's Claude was even used in an operation targeting ex-venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro, per WSJ
